Product Availability and Pricing
If you're interested in a piece of jewelry that is currently on back order, call us and we can tell you when the item will be back in stock. Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we're able to post notification to the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item.

Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Special Orders
We want to help you find the perfect jewelry item. If you do not find it in our extensive inventory, send us an email using the contact us option, or call and speak to a diamond and jewelry consultant at 843-796-1280.

Fancy Colored Diamonds
At this time, we do not carry loose fancy-colored diamonds.

Ring Size
If your MidnightJewels.com ring does not fit, we will resize it free of charge within 45 days of its original shipment. Resizing will take approximately 10-14 business days.

Payment Methods
For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:
   • Credit cards: Use your Visa or MasterCard.
   • Check or Money Order (your items will not be shipped until your payment is received and processed)
   • MidnightJewels.com Gift Certificate (read the Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions)

Policy on Debit Cards
A debit card is treated differently than a credit card by your bank. A debit card is much like a credit card in that it may display a credit card company logo, like Visa or MasterCard, but a charge to your debit card uses funds directly from your bank account. The biggest difference is that your bank may institute a daily charge limit on your debit card. If the price of your order exceeds a daily limit set on your debit card we will notify you, as this will prohibit us from processing your order.

As an alternative, you can:
• Continue your order via wire transfer and receive a 1.5% discount. A wire transfer is a simple process of contacting your bank to have funds moved from your bank to ours and is available for orders of $250 or more. It works on the same principle as your debit card, but requires some direct communication with your bank to allow for a larger transaction. We'll send you the easy instructions. It may require a few days for your bank to transfer your funds.

• Continue your order using a credit card. If you order before noon, your order will begin processing today.

• Contact your bank and request a one-time waiver of the daily charge limit.

Diamond Certificates
When you order a loose diamond, we ship it to you with the accompanying diamond grading report (also called a diamond certificate). These grading reports are lengthy, detailed documents created by diamond grading experts at one of two highly-respected diamond laboratories making it very expensive to replace a diamond grading report. Because of this, we require each diamond grading report to be included with each returned diamond.

If you do not include both the diamond grading report and appraisal with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee.

Laser Inscriptions
Many of our diamonds are laser inscribed. If you find a diamond you'd like to purchase but it does not have a laser inscription, we recommend that you purchase the diamond and send it to a diamond grading lab where they can inscribe the diamond for you.

Sales Tax
Currently, sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in South Carolina.

Easy Returns
To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return any item without custom engraving in its original condition within 7 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange. Comparison Purchasing
To keep our prices low, we do not allow comparison purchasing. Comparison purchasing is the act of buying several items with the intent of keeping the one you like best and returning the remainder. This causes undue restocking and inventory overhead and can be very costly. Information on Our Website
At MidnightJewels.com, we make every attempt to ensure that our online catalog is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, color and size may vary slightly.

Our objective is to provide you with as much information and detail about your prospective purchase as possible so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item. In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, MidnightJewels.com states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight.

On the MidnightJewels.com website, we display the dimensions of our products based on the information received from our manufacturers. For any convex or rounded jewelry item, the width and length stated in the product description is taken by the manufacturer, prior to the rounding of the metal in the manufacturing process, which may lead to a discrepancy in any measurements taken after this process.

Also, for each item containing multiple diamonds, we list the average grade and measurement for color, clarity, and carat weight. These averages are calculated by adding all grades or measurements that comprise the inventory with regard to that particular piece of merchandise, and determining the closest mean.

MidnightJewels.com is committed to offering high-quality diamonds, sourced from the world's largest and best suppliers. As responsible citizens and jewelry merchants, we share the public's concern regarding conflict diamonds. At MidnightJewels.com, we only purchase our diamonds through respected, well-established, legal channels.

In April 2003, President Bush passed a bill adopting the Kimberley Process that requires all US diamond retailers to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels. Today, the US Customs Service is actively enforcing the Kimberley Process requirements as diamonds enter American ports.

MidnightJewels.com supports the Kimberley Process. Each diamond cutter we work with obtains diamonds exclusively from legitimate sources, and they comply completely with the Kimberley Process requirements. At MidnightJewels.com, we will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade.

Secure Shopping
When you place an order through our shopping basket, your personal information is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the industry standard security protocol for encoding sensitive information. SSL creates a shared digital key, which only lets the sender and the receiver of the transmission scramble or unscramble information. To everyone else, the SSL transmission is indecipherable.

Encryption is based on the mathematical scrambling and unscrambling of messages. The type of encryption we use assigns two keys - one is a public key and one is a private key. When you send us a message, you use our public key to encrypt your message. Once we receive your encrypted message, we use the private key to decode it. The same key cannot both encrypt and decrypt information. So, information encrypted using the private key can only be decrypted using the public key, and vice versa- ensuring the security of your information.

This technology, together with our other security measures, protects your personal information as it moves from your computer to our server. We also restrict and limit access to customer information only to those employees who require it to carry out their business functions, and educate our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions
A Gift They'll Love, Since they're choosing it themselves, you know they'll love it. When you just don't know what to get or you've waited until the last minute, a gift certificate from MidnightJewels.com is the perfect gift.

Gift Certificates can be redeemed online at any time, and can be used towards any purchase from our huge selection of high quality fine jewelry. The Gift Certificate will be delivered by email, or by regular mail in its own special envelope.

Email Gift Certificate

Paper Gift Certificate by Mail
- Arrives in 2 to 5 business days
- Include your own personal message

Gift certificates must be redeemed through the MidnightJewels.com website, towards the purchase of products displayed on the web site.

Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase gift certificates, and are not transferable. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's gift certificate account and is not transferable. Gift certificates cannot be combined.

If your order exceeds the amount of your gift certificate, you must pay for the balance with an acceptable form of payment. The Gift certificate cash value is 1/10 of one cent.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates MidnightJewels.com will have the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift certificate is redeemed and used to make purchases on the MidnightJewels.com website.

The risk of loss and title for gift certificates pass to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission to the recipient or delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable.

7 Day Return Policy
Check the status of your returned item on our returns page page. You must be logged in to view your returns and order details.

Our 7-day return policy gives you plenty of time to consider your purchase. That way you can be sure you made the right decision. If for any reason you aren't satisfied, you can return any item without custom engraving in its original condition within 7 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange. It's that simple.

Return for Credit or Refund

Exchanges, Resizes or Repairs
We can exchange your jewelry for another item, give you another ring size, repair your item, or mount your diamond in a setting. Call to speak to a diamond and jewelry consultant. Call 843-796-1280

Our Return Process Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund or new item will be processed in just a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance Department. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered, resized (by a jeweler other than MidnightJewels.com), or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns with no MidnightJewels.com return authorization, and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused receipt.

2. Package Your Return. Place all the original packaging in the box, including the appraisal and the diamond certificate. (The diamond certificate carries a $250 replacement fee.) For security reasons, do not write MidnightJewels.com anywhere on the outside of the box. Use M. J. Company as addressee.

3. Insure Your Package. On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is listed as:

- Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.*

- More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail?, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached MidnightJewels.com.  * (FedEx? and UPS? will not insure merchandise over $500.)

Legal Notices
Under no circumstances shall MidnightJewels.com be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict product liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Shipping Policies

Your order will be shipped to you fully insured. We urge all customers to inspect your package for damage or tampering before receiving or signing for receipt.

When will your order be processed?

Most products are made to your specifications and are considered a “Special Order”. This type of order can take 2-4 weeks to complete and ship. Keep this time frame in mind when placing your order.

Shipping to Alternate Addresses

If you will not be home to sign for your order, Midnight Jewels can ship your order to your place of work, or another more convenient destination. As a security precaution to protect our customers against fraud, when you order merchandise priced $500 or more to be delivered to a destination other than your billing address, we will confirm that your credit card or financing company has this alternate shipping address on file. To help expedite your order, simply call your issuing bank and provide them with your alternate shipping address. If you cannot be available, or have someone else available to sign for your package, you can have it shipped to your local FedEx location so that you can sign for and pick it up at your leisure. Find the FedEx location nearest you.

Signature Requirements for Delivery

Please note that we only honor FedEx signature waivers for shipments under $250. If your delivery is over $250 we require a signature for delivery regardless of any waivers you have from FedEx.

If your delivery is under $250 we still require a signature unless you have a waiver on file with FedEx. These requirements are for your protection. If you would like to arrange delivery to a FedEx location call one of our customer service agents at 843-796-1280.

Since jewelry is often given for engagement or another special occasion, we will be extremely flexible to help you create a wonderful surprise. We can expedite your delivery for a fast-approaching special occasion, or we can ship your order to an address other than your home to help you maintain your surprise. Shipping to APO & FPO Addresses

Because APO & FPO orders must be processed through the military postal service, it may take your package a bit more time to arrive. Midnight Jewels ships all APO & FPO orders via USPS Priority Mail and guarantees your package will arrive at the appropriate APO/FPO processing center within 2-4 days. From that point on, we depend on the military postal service to deliver the package to you in a timely manner. We cannot provide a tracking number or specific delivery date.
